Right in town We had a leak. On the first night it was a small drop and cleared up quick. We informed the front desk about it. On the second night it was a deluge. We are only staying one more night, so we expected it to be mostly taken care of, and a reasonable discount on the stay given that the room isn't the standard expected of the highest rated hotel in Monteverde. We are here for my wife's birthday, which is tomorrow. We have a room with water all over the floor, a 6 year old child with us who may slip going to the bathroom, and towels all over the floor. Moving rooms from their biggest room to something worse is a ludicrous prospect for one night when we do not wish to pack up and move in a terrible rain storm. What we expect from good customer service is some level of refund on the room rate. We have been given a free meal. And food isn't exactly expensive here. Accommodation is. I feel bad for the front desk guy who has taken the brunt of this, calling his manager to negotiate with us. For the manager to offer merely a free meal only, he needs his head examined.
