This is a lovely, simple rental apartment near Cruz Bay, but just far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable with a nice bed - room is a bit small and no frills, but has what you need, especially if you plan to be out and about most days. The beach chairs, towels and cooler were so helpful! The views are very nice - though if you are looking to stay in and enjoy the view, I’d recommend trying the Honeymoon or Penthouse suites which are on the upper level and seem to have better views. As the description notes, the Papaya suite has more of a garden view - which was fine for us since we were only really there at night! Communication was also great and quick through messaging - though we didn’t meet anyone on site. Note you will need 4WD for the parking lot.

Off the beaten path, designated parking. Screened in porch with a nice view of the ocean. Dense foliage added privacy. Comfortable accommodations. Had a couple of beach chairs and soft side cooler to use when going to the beach. Great for 2 people. Would stay there again.

We stayed in the Papaya unit and would definitely stay here again. The unit was spacious, clean, and had an excellent view. The extra touches, like beach towels and chairs and a cooler, were so unexpected and very much appreciated. Check in and check out were simple too. I would warn future guests to be ready for the steep roads of St John. We had a small SUV and had no problems, but these hills are way past what I'm used to driving. Just take it slow and you'll be fine. There's even parking on site, which is a big deal on St John.
