Located on the German Swiss border in a beautiful old village, Haus Ella is modern inside with perfect hosts. Clean comfy, everything you could possibly need. Quiet and nicely located to drive to all over Switzerland and more. Supplies of water, sweets, bin bags available as well as umbrellas if needed. Kitchen had microwave, coffee machine & toaster. Room was modern and the beds so comfortable, 2 weeks of great sleep! I could live there!
Christinne is such a nice kind friendly person who runs a beautiful house. On hand to help at any time and never intrusive. There is also a quality Washing machine and dryer downstairs. The bed and linen were beautifully laid out and very comfortable.
What is not to like? The accomodation is in the Southern Black Forest and the border to Switzerland with views of the Alps and the Rheinfall (largest waterfall in Europe) nearby.
Day trips in your car or public transport to the Alps is do-able.
Shopping for food, fuel etc. all within 5 minutes and the village of Stuhlingen is very pleasent. Food is much cheaper than Switzerland which is in sight of the village.
The owner was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful. Very quick to respond to questions and assist in anything we needed during our stay.
