The hosts are amazing. Friendly and both with a sense of humour which made our stay more enjoyable. We initially booked for 1 night but ended up staying for a second as it was bad weather and we wanted a day off the motorbikes. Will definitely be back on my next trip to the Black Forest.
Friendly host, large comfortable room with a good shower and bathroom. Breakfast was very good with mainly local produce. We dined in an excellent restaurant in Sankt Blasien. (The dome is not to be missed.)
Wonderful hosts that was warm and welcoming in every interaction and gave me some good tips on where to eat when I arrived and further travel to Switzerland when I left. The room, hotel and surroundings in general were so beautifully old style South German/Schwarzwald-y it was a real treat. I see some call it dated, but I would disagree. Although it's old it's more old like museum-old than outdated. Combined with everything being clean, it was like stepping back in time in a good and pleasant way. I could have easily spent more time there, exploring the area and unwinding. The breakfast was right on par with other German guesthouses, but I would also like to point out the perfect soft boiled egg I got, that came from hens just down the road apparently. I'm usually in and out in 10 minutes with breakfast, but I took my time here. Wifi was also flawless, and parking seemed plentiful for the size of the hotel.
Very nice hotel. The property is beautiful and in a quiet location.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Last but not least: the food was delicious!
