We loved the old money feel of this hotel, and even though it's a bit dated, this is part of its charm :) The location on the main street was perfect for ending one day's hike and starting the next, and it was so easy to walk to restaurants, bakeries, and the supermarket. The staff was friendly and did their best to communicate with us in English as our German is pretty awful. The room was spacious and had lovely windows facing the main street, which can make for a bit of noise, but since everything calms down quite early, noise wasn't a problem for us.
