This locally-owned hotel is part of where the US Forces had been stationed, so within a few blocks are basic support shops from that time: a very nice (but pricey) Edeka w/ drinks store, clothing, drugstore, etc. The hotel itself has grown over time into a 3-building complex connected by an underground passage that goes to the reception/breakfast area.
Staff speaks English, for the most part, and is willing to assist travelers with questions. 24-hour front desk. Fob entry to buildings & rooms.
Breakfast was certainly a high point: vegetarians will get their money's worth, as well as omnivores. You can use the coffee machine or ask for a pitcher of filter coffee, and you can order eggs made your way (scrambled already provided on the buffet). One of the breakfast people must be from the far east, as we had plenty of fresh eggrolls and chicken-pineapple skewers.
I would look into staying again, unless I find something better (see other section)
