This family-run guest house is quietly located in a nice residential area of Wernigerode. Pension Haus Marga offers free Wi-Fi, free private parking and a beautiful garden. Rooms at Pension Haus Marga are traditionally decorated in a country-house style and feature wooden furniture. All include satellite TV, a mini-bar and a private bathroom with shower, and the apartments have a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is provided each morning in the rustic-style lounge. Guests are also welcome to relax in the conservatory or have barbecues in the garden. Many hiking and cycling trails can be found in the surrounding Harz National Park. Wernigerode Elmowerk Train Station is a 20-minute walk away from Pension Marga Wernigerode.

Location was good for my purpose and OK for the town - it's a little out of the centre in a residential area. All tourists staying in Wernigerode are offered free travel on the buses. Breakfast was good, plentiful and served at table, with a supplementary buffet. 24 hour minibar. Good parking at rear of house. Kettle in room (not that common on the continent).
