Angelica, Ано Сирос, Греция

We had a delayed ferry and Angelica’s son picked us up at the port! So kind! The accommodation was stocked with some breakfast options. The home is like staying in a Syros museum! So interesting. The area of Ano Syros is so beautiful but you need to be prepared for a lot of steps up and down to get around.

The host, Armin, was so kind and helped me with my luggage when I arrived and then when I left. The breakfast was nice, although I would have preferred less sugary options and maybe fruit instead. The homemade jam was nice though. :) I found it to be a nice and quiet apartment with a few cat friends outside to greet me in the morning. I had everything I needed with the fridge and small stove and toaster. The trip down to the main town, Ermoupoli, is a bit tricky, but OK if you wish to challenge yourself to a good workout with many steps and nice scenery on the way there and back. It's about 20 minutes each way, but perhaps half an hour if you pace yourself. :) It's worth it if you like to experience the culture.
