the place itself is fine, with a more than adequate breakfast -- under the owner's watchful eye -- & the owner was very helpful on our 1st of 2 nights, going out of his way to recommend sites & restaurants. and, yes, best to arrive w/a sturdy shoe & not much luggage ... 'cause the walk from parking lot to accommodation -- often on uneven cobblestone -- is not "straightforward"

Wonderful host, excellent breakfast, peaceful village

Archontiko Dilofo is the most charming place I have ever lodged in my life and its owner, Yorgos, is one of the kindest and humblest hosts you could possibly hope to meet. His manor house combines centuries’ old rustic character with twenty-first century cleanliness and amenities. It is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful nature of the Zagoria region and its stone villages, of which Yorgos, as a lifetime resident of the area, has encyclopedic knowledge. We let his suggestions guide our visit and they were perfect! And be prepared to be wowed by the breakfast, which is included in the price of the room. It is banquet-size and delicious. Besides yogurt, honey, marmalades, cut fruit, cheese pie, fruit pastry, and sliced salami, ham, and cheese, the breakfast includes coffee and eggs served as you like.

The house is very old (1633!) and amazing, and it looks like a museum. The owner of the place is very nice and kind and explains very kindly about the history of the place and where you should travel

The guesthouse was much nicer than the photos look. The hosts were hospitable & helpful & made a nice breakfast. The room was a good size & everything was very clean. The complex is really beautiful & so is the town. A great choice as long as you know how far it is from the parking lot.
