The breakfast was excellent with a spectacular view to the old port of Chania. The building was neoclassical ozzing quality and tradition. There was also a very useful elevator offering easy access to higher floors. All personnel were extremely polite and useful.

When you choose to stay here, you are choosing the experience. Amazing location, plenty of history. A magic place in witch the time seems to slow. The breakfast is amazing, both for quality and location: a room full of objects from the past, a spectacular view of the sea.

Exquisite owner and staff

The view from the room and from the breakfast area was breathtaking. The hotel and all the rooms are decorated with paintings or traditional embroidery. The staff is very nice and helpful and everything is kept perfectly clean. The breakfast had also traditional cretan yogurt and other products, but also we could order omlettes

The hotel is decorated beautifully, with lots of interesting antiques and pictures throughout. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on great beaches, restaurants and nightlife. The highlight of the hotel was the view of the bay steps away from it, which was also a perfect and convenient place to swim.

The shining star for this place is the house, the history and absolutely the staff. I've stayed in all type of luxury but these people were one of the best staff I've ever encountered. yeah sure the toilet is a bit humid.. but in the end everything is very clean. It is an old building and as such, has it's quirks. You should not rent this place if you cannot appreciate it and then leave bad reviews. There is a hidden beautiful garden where the staff lit some candles for us and we had a great glass of wine. This is a once in a lifetime stay. Every corner of the building is an experience.
