This is the best hotel in the island of Astypalaia. The staff and the owners were the most gracious of any hotel in a Greek island I have visited in the last 50 years. During the last day when we had no car they offered and did give us a ride to the nearby beach. They also were very kind to come and pick us up to return us to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and so was the risotto I had one night that we decided not to go to the center of the town. The hotel is just outside the main town, Hora, but close enough to walk to the windmills area where several bars and restaurants were available.
