Konark Homestay is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Thekkady. It is perfectly located very close to the entrance of the park. The back of the property also overlooks the park and animal sightings are possible while relaxing on the balcony! Rani is a fabulous host, she cooks fantastic meals. I spent an evening with her and helped her cook the guest dinner. She is a great cooking teacher and I learned a lot. She also helped us organize a day trekking in the park. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I really recommend Konark for your visit to Thekkady!

A MUST VISIT!!! This is by far my favorite travel experience & place we've stayed abroad! Rani, the host, made us feel so welcomed and cared for during our stay. We found the rooms to be clean and fresh. The backyard view is unbeatable! Perfect for watching the birds & relaxing. It's a very quiet homestay and is just outside the park in the perfect location. This is a family run business that gives you an authentic feel for life in Kerala. Our trip to India wouldn't have been the same without Konark! Rani is also a fantastic cook, we had breakfast & dinner with her almost every night...we couldn't get enough of her cooking! We even took a cooking lesson with her! She also helped us book/organize everything during our stay and figure out how to get to our next spot. Staying here reminded me why we pick homestays over hotels...you can't beat this experience and hospitality.
