The place was huge and centrally located. It’s also family run and we went on their whale watching tour as well through the company they own (Friends of Moby Dick)

The apartment is in a historic schoolhouse building from the early 1900s and has a lot of character and charm. It was large, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The decorations were lovely. The kitchen, living areas, and bedrooms were huge and the host thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with everything you might need. The neighborhood is very quiet and the beds were perfect. We also appreciated the fresh flowers in the hallways and entrance hall of the building. We learned that Husavik is a "hot" area where the homes are heated with geothermal water. Accordingly, and when you are taking a shower--you can smell a strong sulfur or "rotten eggs" odor. It is safe to drink. However, and while we only smelled it in the bathroom--it was very strong. Personally, I think the host of this property should put a note of explanation in the welcoming paperwork to remind and reassure guests that this is normal and not a problem.

The apartment is clean and well-located. It has a fully equipped kitchen and comes with bed linens. There's a TV you can use to connect to your subscribed services.

Collecting keys was easy, apartment was spacious and clean. Very cute place and in wonderful location, we loved Husavik. Laundry was shared and was greatly appreciated. Host was very responsive. Might be our favorite accommodations of our 8 day road trip, we wish we could have stayed longer.
