This was the nicest place we stayed in Iceland. Beautiful guesthouse! Large comfortable bedroom and the fanciest bathroom! Lovely shared kitchen. We loved using the shared living space and dining rooms. The other guests were friendly too. Would 100% stay here again

What a place. From the second we walked in, it felt like more than just a guesthouse. The space is spotless (seriously, not a speck of dust), but what really blew us away was the kindness of the owners. They didn’t just host us, they genuinely looked after us. While we were out exploring the jaw-dropping scenery, the lovely houseowner ironed my dad’s dress shirts. Didn’t ask, didn’t mention it, just did it. Who does that anymore? It’s those small, quiet acts of care that you never forget. This isn’t just a clean, cozy place to stay, it’s a reminder that good people still exist. An easy 10/10. Would come back in a heartbeat.

This is a hidden gem. If you wish to spend time at Studagil and not want to go all the way to Myvatn or Egilsstadir, don't hesitate to book this. You may feel it's remote, and the food choice is limited to one place, but the home itself is spectacular.
