What a find! Hotel Gaintza is a hotel and winery located in the countryside next to the Camino de Compostela northern route. Vineyards surround this beautiful establishment. One can take a tour of the winery and vineyards with wine and food tastings for a reasonable fee. It was an absolutely wonderful stay.
Very friendly staff. Clean room and a great and quiet location at just a ten minute walk from town.
The property is beautiful and quiet! Very close to walk into town but also, a real rural feel. The breakfast they served has homemade pastries and a few eggs/meat/cheese options. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a great touch!
We received complimentey bottles of their wine upon checking in, which was an unexpected touch. The staff was so nice and able to give great recommendations for dinner. Absolutely a great stay!
Out of the city and there was parking. Yet, it was only a five minute walk down a hill to get to the heart of the city. The staff was excellent.
