Location was excellent close to everything including the cathedral, laundry, pilgrim office, restaurants and bars. The room was modern with great amenities (coffee, pastry, and toiletries)

Great location on Rua do Franco within walking distance of train/bus stations and the university, the great Parque Alameda and of course the cathedral -- probably 7-10 minute walk. Dozens of bars and restaurants within the area.
But the street level of this Hostal has a wine bar and restaurant that is very good, without the tourist vibe of most of the rest of the street. Excellent staff and creative food, including a well-priced tasting menu. Loved it.
The room was very nice, great bed and super shower and thick, fluffy towels. Has a mini-fridge, a one shot coffee/tea maker and large TV. Shuttered windows open onto the often busy street. For a fairly hopping Friday/Sat stay it was quiet after 11pm.
Just a very homey, comfortable quality spot.
Centrally located, clean, perfect for a couple of nights.
