Close to train & village, helpful and friendly hosts, excellent breakfast,

Really beautiful and quiet location. The breakfast was also nice and the family that runs the hotel was also kind. The owner/manager was very kind to help me with my luggage up the stairs, but it is definitely easier here with light luggage :) If you are coming by train, make sure to ask about reaching the property by the back exit of train station to avoid taking large stairs to cross the town.

Excellent location outside the walls of Lucca and behind the train station. Easy to to walk into the walled city. HINT: to reach hotel, exit the REAR of the station using the steps or the ramp. Turn right onto the red bicycle and pedestrian track. The street you are on is via Lorenzo Nottolini. It curves to the right, so stay on it for about about 200 meters..The cross and turn right onto via Vincenzo Civitali. I discourage exiting via the front of the station because you will have to carry your luggage up the overpass that crosses over the railroad tracks. The overpass is circled in blue on the photo. Nice room, good AC and TV. Simple breakfast: yogurt, small sandwiches of meat and cheese, fruit, juices, pastries, bread. STEFANO makes the best espresso!

Stephano, the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us lots of recommendations, and travel advice.. He even arranged another night in Lucca, when we wanted to stay longer and there was no further capacity.

The location is great, as it’s just outside the walls. So, everything is at walking distance. Lorenzo was a great host. He allowed me to check in earlier and he prepared a nice early breakfast when I was leaving the hotel. Thank you very much, Lorenzo.
