Iris was terrific. Met us at the apartment and went through everything. Great spot in Monterosso
The communication with our host Iris and all the little gifts were a welcome surprise. We enjoyed the bubbly wine and limoncello. The kids loved the bunkbeds and porch. It was a 5min winding walk up and down, but not exhausting. It was close to restaurants, groceries, the beach.
This was a fantastic place for us to stay! We are a family of 4 - myself, my wife and my 20 yr old son and 17 yr old daughter - and we stayed at Bougainvillea from June 18 to June 21, 2023. The place is situated only minutes from the train station, but we took a taxi back and forth as we had large luggage (the steps wouldn't be so bad if you travel light). We did this walk daily without luggage as old town is only 10-15 mins walk away, and the public beach is only 5-7 mins away.
The apartment is clean and well-maintained. And Iris is a fantastic host - who was very communicative prior to us checking in, and met us at the apartment and took the time to explain everything to us, and even helped us secure the taxi reservation when we checked out.
If we are visiting Cinque Terre again, we won't hesitate to try and stay here again.
I’m not into this type of rental normally, as I like to be on vacation and not do any work. This was an easy stay with everything laid out in a fool proof way. She also did lot a of little thoughtful things.
