excellent place to stay if you want to travel on a budget. The location is close to the train station, only about a five minute walk. The town is quiet and peaceful, and there is a beautiful part of town called Certaldo Alto. You take a funicular up to the top and there are good restaurants and a cute walled town. this is a great alternative then staying in Siena, which is only 30 minutes away by train. It has a great balcony, which is where I took the attached photos
Luisa, the host, is a gem! She does not speak English, but we got along just fine and she was very attentive to my needs. Thank you, Luisa!
Spacious. Easily provide 2 bedrooms if required. The host was pleasant, helpful & responsive.
Wonderful roof terrace.
Lovely kind host. The apartment has a beautiful, sunny terrace. Kitchen is equipped with all you need, the whole place was so clean and tidy. Comfortable bed, lounge chairs and great shower. The apartment felt like a well loved family home, it was charming.
It was great that the apartment was only 200 metres from the railway station which we used much. Also the apartment had a balcony so we had meals on it which was great.
The owner was very helpful and came to the railway station to meet us.
Very friendly reception by a smiling lady! The heating and gasstove worked, which unfortunately isn't always the case these days. Very comfortable beds, and big terrace with a great view. Third floor so almost no streetnoise.
