Located right in front of the Pompeii archaeological site, Hotel del Sole offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, and some with a panoramic balcony. The location is excellent, especially if you're going to visit the ruins! We got a great price, the room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast that was included was good. The room itself was small but I'm not visiting Pompei to stay in my room all day so that didn't matter to us. We have no complaints and would recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Pompei.
The location of this hotel is ideal if you want to visit the ruins as it's literally across the street. The hotel itself is clean and there's enough English spoken to get by as the staff is very helpful. My room was huge as I had upgraded to a larger room and was on the 3rd floor. Yes, the scaffolding is still there as they are working on the roof. Does it ruin the view? Not really as the trees block the view to the ruins anyway so you're not really missing anything.
I stayed a couple of nights and came in on my motorcycle that I parked in their secured lot. The gate is shut all day. There's lot of restaurants within walking distance and one in the hotel which is excellant.
Location, breakfast, comfortable bed, reception staff and manager were exceptionally polite and courteous.
Hotel del Sole was perfectly situated near entrance to the Pompeii ruins. Breakfast was perfect and we were made to feel very welcomed by the staff. Room and shower was a bit small but had a balcony to step outside to. Our car rental was safely parked on the property within a secured gate. Walkable to the church and piazza.
Location to ancient ruins was ideal to the Andre Bocelli event we were there for.
