La Piccionaia was exceptionally well located, right inside the historic center with easy walking access to all of the major sites. I would note with absolute accolades for the always-immediate access to Andrea, the gracious host who was always available for recommendations about everything, even niche questions ( I was looking for an artisanal panettone). The facility itself was comfortable and large, and it had a gorgeous and private rooftop terrace. BTW, it was inexpensive for sure, especially given the size of the place.

Andrea does an excellent job of making sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable. The rooftop terrace is awesome.

Andrea is the best host we have ever encountered. He truly cares that you have a great visit. He iwas always ready with help and suggestions. The kitchen was so well stocked that we didn't even have go to the market. It felt like we were living in Genoa. The air-conditioning worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable. A great place to relax.

The position - it's in the heart of old city, very near to most of the touristic sightseeing places, on a small street. Very close is a beautiful church The host - Andrea is wonderful as a person. Very nice, helpful, explaining everything you need to know about the apartment, city. Apartment is cozy, nice furniture and nice terrace ( needs renovation and some furniture, so you can enjoy it at full). Kitchen very well equiped with everything needed to cook, including the spices, olive, vinegar, and others. Also in the bathroom you find all the cosmetics needed for a short stay. Very attention to details to make your stay very homey, so you have also ingredients for breakfast - sweet and salty stuff, yogurts, milk, eggs etc Totally recommend!

Andrea, who owns the property, was an excellent communicator. Friendly, helpful and flexible. He arranged to meet us from a late flight to show us the apartment. He left a well stocked fridge for breakfasts and 3 ways of making coffee! He sent us details of favourite restaurants which helped us choose. The 74 steps up to the top floor were a good challenge.
