This is a beautiful place. The host is absolutely lovely, welcoming, and responsive. You pick oranges each morning from the orange grove to make fresh juice and the grounds are very beautiful. Occasionally you may even enjoy fresh eggs from the chickens! My children and family loved staying there together to get out of the city and enjoy a slower pace. The location is about an hour from Syracuse and Taormina. Please note that there isn't breakfast on site, so you'll want to buy some groceries to make breakfast to enjoy with your family. Two grocery stores are close to the property, which makes this easy and there is a small kitchen inside the apartment. It is a wonderful place to enjoy with loved ones.
The property was beautiful, calm and well laid out for guests, but the biggest attraction of this place is the proprietress, Mati. She’s a former tour operator who simply knows the best way to do everything in the region. Her expertise and warmth make this lovely place an exceptional value.
The gardens are amazing. The grass is regularly mowed, there are many flowers and herbs. There are many places with outdoor furniture to dine or lay down as in the sun and also in natural shade. In the evening the garden is illuminated, there are even romantic lights in the trees.
The guests are allowed to pick the fruits in the orchards. In the fully equiped Appartment there is also automatic orange press. The Appartment is clean and spacious with all the needed amenities.
The owner, the staff and dogs are so kind. We also got goose eggs for the breakfast and could buy olive oil from the estate.
You need a car to get there. It is definitely worth a drive to enjoy in peaceful green gardens.
Beautifully upkept, clean and short ride from the city/airport. Pool is great, clean and comfortable. Oranges and other fruit and veggies all around, very tranquil place with a charm.
