Loved staying here the staff was incredible, friendly, and helpful ( it felt like home). The food was excellent and the rooms were well done, air conditioning excellent, and great beds. However it was the staff that made it so great. From the front desk, housekeeping, food service, and the manager all were incredible. We will definatly return to Casa Mercedes!!

The property is well maintained and is 4.5 blocks from the zocalo (main square) and cathedral with many shops and a few mini grocery stores and bakeries along the way. Of course lots of shops and restaurants in all directions and a lovely church and square with a fountain a few steps away - a place of solitude. Although our room did not have a window, it had a high ceiling and had plenty of space so it was not a problem and it was on the back side and thus far from the road noise and thus quiet. The bed was firm and comfortable enough and the sheets and towels were nicely adequate. The a/c worked well. The lovely courtyard hosted a nice continental breakfast each morning. The staff was welcoming and helpful although English was very minimal. We appreciated the provided bottled water.

Great location, nice having a bar and restaurant on the property, rooms are good size and fairly comfortable.

Daniel and the staff were the best!! The bed was comfortable, nice bathroom. The location was excellent. Great air conditioning. They keep the hotel clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and good facilities; very comfortable setting for exploring the city. I did request upper rooms and of course, that was not promised nor delivered; however all in all, we enjoyed the hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating; tried hard to meet our needs despite the challenges of language. All in all, would recommend this hotel esp for its value.
