I really like the view we got from the second level cabin. There was a nice breeze.

The lagoon was just down the stairs to a nice area to hang out. Bikes and kayaks available for use. Town is short ride or 20 minute walk. Lots of restaurants in town

I had such a great time at Bacalar My Love - the staff was friendly and accommodating, the cabanas very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. There were people around cleaning, maintaining, and you could always ask them for help. The place is outside of the center, which was refreshing, but they have bikes to rent, so you are fine cycling there - its 7-8 minutes. They also have available kayaks, they are pretty basic, but work. I stayed at 3 different places in Bacalar (1 cheaper, one more expensive) and liked this one the most. Btw, it is at the cenote Esmeralda and just below the hotel there is a spring with super clean water coming out, so some of the boats pass there to see it.

Awesome location, and super helpful and pleasant staff.

Bike rental to get into town easy, bikes of okay quality, had to put the chain on the bike multiple times per ride but whatever. Kayak rental very convenient although some kayaks had holes in them which makes it very easy to tip into the water.
