Very kind and helpful hosts. The homemade guacamole and chips on the roof top deck were a bonus!

We were met by the host, shown our room and the keys were in the door and our name and room number were on an outside board. Very easy. It is very close to the Mangawhai Heads shopping center with many cafes and a very good home bakery, also close to the Golf Club and the Bowling Club.

When I arrived, I rang the bell and very quickly the owner came to hand me the keys and chat for a moment. I went straight to my room for refreshment before driving to my family (the main purpose for my visit). They live about 8km from this property, which is a small drawback, but closer than other properties I had tried. The bed was very comfortable, the facilities were clean and tidy, the shower was hot (and very, very strong), the balcony was comfortable to sit in the sunshine and look into the distance for a peek at the sea. The property garden was well cared for and enjoyable to look at.

Lovely area to explore. Scenic. The Heads Up property was lovely with great landscaping and nicely appointed. Everything that you needed was provided. Hosts were helpful.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay at Heads Up - the studio is spacious, with a comfortable bed and good shower (large bathroom). The hosts are awesome - they brightened our (very rainy) day with avocados, and a complimentary plate of guacamole + nachos. Great location, as well. It's really nice to have your coffee in the morning sun, looking at the beautiful view from the terrace (you can see the ocean in the distance).
