Kongsfjord Arctic Lodge, Конгсфьорд, Норвегия

The location was great with incredible views over the bay. We stayed here specifically for bird watching during the second half of May. The peninsula is said to have a good chance to see the Gyrfalcon, we didn't see it but the walks are great on its own and the nature is simply stunning.

A super-place at the very end of the world, right at the shore of the Arctic sea. There were a nice Wanderweg just from the place, that took us to the end of a peninsula, right into the sea; wonderful view, in wind and rain, but also full of sad remains from the German occupation - beauty and sadness in one go! Nice room, but, and perhaps foremost, also a really great eating place. We had fish, both days, and the were of top quality. The staff, from Italy and Latin America, were great.
