Place is superbly located at a high elevation overlooking the Douro Valley. Great views of the whole region down below. Watched the sun set from the balcony and it was truly beautiful. Room was well sized and the bathroom had a comfortable shower with abundant water. Francisco, the homeowner, was very hospitable. He was there in the morning to say hello and he showed us the winery in the basement. The breakfast was great, abundant and varied. We shared the living room, dining, and kitchen, and could stock things in the fridge.
absolutely stunning property. the drive getting to it was a bit intense, but this is a really special place. the views from our room were amazing. the grounds are absolutely stunning.
