Location is perfect for people wanting to explore Alfama. Apartment stayed cool with blinds even during hot days (up to 36 outside), and while there is no AC, it was not needed. We did not notice lack of insulation. The street is pretty lively and loud during the day, but it all gets very quiet after 22h or 23h, so the nights are quiet and relaxing and do allow for a good night sleep. There is a bus station right across the entrance (line 737) for easy access from Rossio station. Public transport aficionados will LOVE this line. I recommend also walking the bus route through Alfama in order to better appreciate where the driver takes that bus around.

The location of this property was excellent for us nestled between the historic centre and the castle gate. The apartment was suitable for our needs and represented good value. The staff was also helpful.

From booking to check out, the process was smooth! Our check-in was super fast and easy, they graciously stored our luggage, the apartment was well equipped and the location was very central. Our apartment was very comfortable. We so enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The location was fantastic, up at the top of the Alfama right across from the arch to the castle. The space was great: the bedroom was comfy, the living area was nice, the kitchen was very functional, and the bathroom was great. I had a wonderful view of the castle and a view of the water since my room was up high on the corner. Oh, abnd during the day there was wonderful live music on the street, and I could hear the peacocks at night.

It was a beautiful apartment with wonderful light and a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The staff are awesome and the space is part of a group of restaurants and shops that are at the heart of the scene.
