The apartment was fantastic! It had a well-appointed kitchen and the host had stocked the fridge with basics. We also got fresh baked treats every morning. The apartment was situated in a community with markets, a bakery, a coffee shop, and a meatshop close by. The host’s daughter gave us a great map and pointed out everything to see, do, and eat in Porto. They even included bus passes!

We wanted a location away from downtown within a more residential neighbourhood. This location was perfect! It’s only a short walk from metro, large mall with supermarket and the Porto football stadium. There are local stores and cafe just across the apartment. The host for the apartment is super, made us feel right at home and really really takes cares of us during the whole stay. He made it feel more like we are staying at our uncle’s home than in an apartment. The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed and we felt spoiled.

This apartment is truly special, not just for its charm but for the exceptional hospitality of the owners, who even provided free public transport tickets and fresh breakfast rolls in the morning. It feels more like staying in someone’s home than in an anonymous rental, which adds a personal touch. The cozy feel, with many knickknacks, might feel overwhelming to some. However, it’s not for everyone. If you prefer being in the heart of Porto’s action, this location may not be ideal. The metro is a ten-minute walk, though the street isn’t particularly pleasant and might feel unsafe at night, despite Porto’s low crime rate. On the other hand, if you want to make trips along the Doura or explore the northern coast, you will find this an excellent location (it is why we decided to rent this accommodation). On another plus side, the WiFi is excellent, the kitchen and bathroom well-equipped, and the beds comfortable. A unique place, but not for everyone.

The hosts were fantastic . They collected us from the airport. The fridge was full of lovely goodies including wine and beer. Eggs and rolls delivered each day.
