The staff is great, bathrooms are clean and - technically - the location is central, however, there were dozens of people acting suspicious every single day/night of my 3 day observation and I actually witnessed a fist fight 15m from the front door in what seems to be a shady restaurant/bar. I started asking around and according to information received from 2 different people in 2 different restaurants, the street and surrounding alleys are high traffic for heavy drug activity so I wouldn’t stay again or recommend the hostel just because of that.

This place is nice, and the hosts were super helpful. I liked this place so much because everything is close to this place. It is an awesome place to stay and visit Coimbra.
