Very good quality for value! Beautiful surroundings

The site has 8-10 chalets on a hill overlooking the grounds that slope down to Lake Kivu. My chalet was small but comfortable, with piping hot water and a small balcony. Minus getting to the place, checkin was smooth. The next morning I woke up to a beautiful view of Lake Kivu, spending time on the dock at the shore enjoying the view and lapping water. You can see the DRC across the lake on a clear day. There are some benches and shade you can sit under nearby. The staff and manager were friendly. The best part was a delicious and filling breakfast of fruit, omelette, and good coffee partnered with a view of the lake. A power outlet next to the table allowed me to spend more than an hour on my laptop while enjoying the breakfast and coffee. The resident cat may stop by to say hello. I would stay here again, perfect for relaxation.

We ate in restaurant both nights. Food was very good. Staff very friendly and helped us learn some new words in Kinyrwanda

The first person we met upon arrival with Eric. He checked us in and walked us down the path to our bungalows. He was tremendously helpful across our entire visit because the hotel is very small, he was also helpful in the restaurant. He told us about places of interest in town and continually asked us about how our stay was going. at one point he even allowed me to use his phone as I was in the restaurant and wanted to contact a friend and one of the bungalows as my phone had died. It was quite a rocky road getting to the hotel, but it was well worth the distance and travel. we arrived at night, and we’re awaken to this extraordinary beauty of sitting on Lake Kivu. I would definitely go back and stay there again for a longer time. Having traveled across three countries and two continents over the last month., It was definitely the rest that I needed To continue on my journey.

We were two couples and three children. The five-bed room house we stayed was very spacious and clean. The view from two front rooms was super. We were satisfied with kitchen facilities and utensils provided. Staff was very kind and supportive too.
