The water was always hot and rooms cleaned daily. Staff were very nice and genuine

There is ample car parking behind the hotel, and there is a restroom on the ground floor right off the car park, which is a bonus after a long drive and prior to checking-in. Joseph, the manager, is a very personable young man who was quite helpful and informative. He even offered to carry our lugguage up 3 flights of stairs which was very kind. It is an old property that is well cared for and even though there is no lift and no A/C, it was not a problem. We have traveled in Europe numerous times and learned long ago to not expect the same amenities we are used to in America, especially at a very old hotel. But the experiences are the reason we travel as opposed to staying at home. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was great and was cooked to order. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
