The room was a lovely twin room. Breakfast was excellent, we had the vegetarian cooked breakfast. We also loved the swimming pool, sauna and steam room.
The location was great for us. The main buses for the Torbay area stopped just down at the promenade, and it was within walking distance of Torquay train station. There were several bars and restaurants nearby, and the town center was easy to reach on bus or on foot.
The breakfast was really good, and we had dinner at the hotel lounge one night which was also fantastic.
Could not fault the staff and the hotel in any way , everyone was professional and the hotel itself was spot on , enjoyed are short stay , will stay again , food was lovely and breaky was outstanding to , well done to all the staff
While I have stayed in Torquay a dozen or more times, this was my first time at this hotel. A good choice, with a lovely cooked breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff exceptional. Indoor heated pool, steam, and sauna all used and good. The only slightly disappointing bit was the very small gym - one piece of gym equipment, a couple (very light) dumbbells and a piece or two of cardio. Not useful in the least for me, but there are luckily larger gyms just a few minutes walk away (which of course you will have to pay for). A minute walk to the sea front, a leisurely five minute stroll to the station, and a 10-15 minute walk to shops and restaurants in the city centre.
