We stayed in a Lodge which was absolutely beautiful. 2 rooms 2 bathrooms to high standard. It had everything you needed with additional welcome tea coffee milk and board games. Smart TV and Wine Cooler great.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely to see the Peacocks and other birds. Beautiful Location and easy reach to towns, fuel stations. Our son loved the Mustangs in the car park.
We wish we could of stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
Self catering lodges were bright, airy and newly refinished. Plenty of space and a comfortable stay.
The location was an excellent base from which to attend a wedding locally.
The lodge was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Breakfast was superb. A great selection for the continental and cooked options.
Wow! We always self cater when we go away so have experienced many properties over the years and have generally been pretty lucky. However I feel we really lucked out this time - we stayed in one of the lodges and ours was one of the newest ones and looked like we were the first visitors as it was so stunning. Just a few of the great points about the property and surroundings:
- very well equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine and even washing liquid, dishwashing tablets, etc
- The beds were better than ours at home and so comfortable
- Plug sockets both sides of the bed!
- Beautiful balcony and table and chairs outside with fabulous surroundings including visiting peacocks
- Tv with streaming services
- Proper bath mats as opposed to the towels you usually get in hotels!
- Decent sized mugs and cereal bowls
- Loads of storage space
- easy access to the hotel including the bar and restaurant
- friendly staff and owner who we chatted to a couple of times
Oak Lodge was just like a home from home. Has to be one of the best lodges we’ve stayed in. Very spacious, with comfy beds. And the extra bathroom was very handy as you don’t normally get that with a 2 bedroom property.
