Very comfortable, clean, and the staff was kind and helpful. The bus stop to the city center and train station is only steps away which made it easy to eat meals out and see the sights. The breakfast was the best I have had anywhere in the UK and the US.
The owners were welcoming and helpful. The room and the bed were comfortable with great linen. Tea making supplies in our room and lovely toiletry gels, lotion and shampoo which was a nice surprise. Had to walk up three lots of stairs so got our exercise in.
The staff are exceptional.

Lovely room, reasonable walk to town centre or train station. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast.
Great hotel, the staff where really friendly. We chose this one because breakfast was included and the rooms where a good size. Breakfast was good. Our room also had a jacuzzi bath and a four poster bed. There was also parking round the back. It was about a 40minute walk into the centre of York and there was a nice pub down the road. We would stay here again.
