This historic hotel, built in 1779, has free parking and an excellent location about 650 ft from Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth Harbour Train Station, Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in the public areas. Keppels Head Hotel is an ideal base if you plan to visit the 3 ships at the Historic Dockyard: the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior 1860. Rooms at the front of the hotel have a view of the harbor. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the continental ferry port. Gunwharf Quays has numerous restaurants, bars, a casino, a nightclub, a cinema and bowling.

Great location near the train station, the Hard, Gunwarf Quay, the Maritime Museum, shops and restaurants. There’s a taxi stand right across the street.

Great location, very close to the train station and a short walk to Gunwharf Quay. Comfortable room and bed, spacious bathroom. Very clean. Friendly staff

Great location for train, bus, ferry, etc. Also right next to the historic dockyard. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It’s an older building but I would absolutely stay here again.

Well located directly in front of ferry/train/bus stations. Room was basic but comfortable. AC was very good. Continental buffet was very basic but ordering hot food was an option

The room left a bit to be desired, however The Captains Table Restaurant gets a 10 out of 10. Had three meals there and all were fantastic! The staff at the front desk who all wear many hats were all great as well.
