Great place. Stayed there while hiking the White Peak. Very friendly and comfortable, and they put on a good breakfest spread too. Very reasonably priced for what you get. I appreciate the management answering my questions in advance about how best to get there on foot. I only regret I was too tired after hiking all day to try the bar.

Fantastic hotel, very nicely decorated rooms and lovely staff. Great value for money for the stay but also for breakfast that we booked separately. Perfect location, easy to reach and near some fabulous spots to explore - we took a 10mins drive to Dovedale Stepping Stones in the evening - perfect time as it was getting empty and we really enjoyed the walk in the valley. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

From arrival we were greeted by Ross who couldn't do more to help us. We were shown to our lovely spacious room which was clean and tidy and everything we needed. Ross then helped my husband with our bags so I could look after our toddler. There is a lovely spacious dining room which is again clean and well presented. There is a snug lounge with sofas and chairs which we didn't use but again is a welcoming area to relax in. Ross was able to give us suggestions of places to eat which were fabulous and only a short drive away. The hotel is close to lots of trails we enjoyed some stunning walks and hired bikes and completed the Monsal trail and a short drive from Bakewell and Ashbourne. The hotel is child friendly and were excellent with our busy two year old.

Location, facilities, room, breakfast, staff (met Ross). Would definitely visit again.

Everything was good. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast is delicious the room is clean and the bed is comfy.
