Well organized, plenty of the things to do in the hostel (games, books, lounge area etc). Kitchen was well equipped and lovely breakfast options for those passing through for a night or 2. Perfection
You can tell the manager really cares about the place and she remembers individuals. The place is pristine. The kitchen is proper! I made an amazing steak with the equipment there.
The hosts, Lorna and Carl were unbelievably kind and helpful. Wonderful people who do their job with passion.
This is a great hostel. Clean, quiet, organized, good WiFi and an INCREDIBLE staff. A special shout out to Lorna, who is truly the heart and soul of this place. You are in very good hands with her.
Lorna & Karl were very welcoming and helpful with their advice, especially about getting around on the local buses. They have collected an incredible amount of information about visiting the island and have organized it very well. The room was very comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Shared areas were nice and the wee breakfast was good. The Islay Natural History Trust is downstairs in the same building and is a great resource for learning about the island.
