Lovely comfortable room in this old English pub. The staff were so helpful and friendly (gave us a late checkout so we can do a local walk, at a small extra fee), helped with directions and genuinely wanted to make our stay comfortable. We had a good breakfast, lovely glass of wine in the bar, in the evening. We loved it all. It’s not in a village however, so my sister got woken by a little traffic.
Ease of getting there, parking, the ability to get food at the location, and the comfort of the rooms.
Beautiful, ancient inn, beautiful countryside. Gorgeous, comfy accomodations. The food was good and healthy. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. We loved it.

Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of continental and full options. A nice selection of beers, real ales and spirits. Accommodation was a spacious with a large bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of free parking.
