A dump. Dirty rooms, the bar lady was helpful. That's all I can say.

Parking. Have stayed here several times over the years when a Best Western Hotel and always pleased. This time was a different matter. The new owners have obviously made a lot of cuts and the result is a nightmare. Reception desk is obsolete but no sign there to say that the Reception is now at the Bar. The bar is now ill-equipped - limited selection of drinks; no lime cordial; no soda and no lemon for your g & t. Asked for a room with lift access. Put on the third floor then lift was out of action. No phone in room so not sure how you order room service. Third floor full of party goers which was fine, until they started running up and down the corridor screaming and shouting and banging on each others doors until 5.30am. Couldn't get hold of Reception as no phone in room! All in all a disaster. We complained in the morning and they didn't charge for the room, but we would rather have not had to complain in the first place. Would definitely not go back or recommend. They need to greatly up their game or they'll pay the price. Such a shame.

Good position and area we grew up in, so was nice to return to it. Only problem was the road works very annoying but this was not down to the hotel, our stay was very enjoyable. Other than road works no problems for us, but anyone not knowing the area it could have caused an inconvenience.

As above. Looks very tired and needs decorating. Carpets and seats stained, paint work chipped and faded, net curtains torn and a small window in the room broken. Hotel appeared dirty and in need of a clean. So in conclusion I did not like the hotel. I would never recommend it and was disappointed!

Lovely greeting from receptionist when we arrived and the breakfast was freshly cooked, one of the best we’ve had from a hotel.
