Lovely little accommodation in a 17 century pub. Very comfortable room nice beds and pillows small bathroom but fine for a short stay. Exceptional restaurant - we had a truly memorable meal and a lovely breakfast. Great beer garden at the back. Parking was tight but on site and free. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, plenty of soft towels and toiletries provided.
Breakfast really good and we ate in the pub where standard of food and portion size was very good
Staff v helpful and accommodating .
Location was excellent for an overnight driving from Scotland to Manchester Airport. It gave us time to visit the stone circle at Castlerigg and Keswick/Derwentwater. Beds were comfortable, room not too hot. Food was good and staff friendly.
Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. Good location, we were en route home from Scotland so it was conveniently close to the M6.
We ate in the restaurant and the food in the evening and at breakfast, was first class.
