Loved the history of the hotel.
Brilliant that it has a gift shop and farm shop as well as a museum.
Loved the decor and the residents lounge.
Full of character. Really plays on the haunted house theme and lots of residents were excited about staying in haunted rooms. Dinner and breakfast were lovely. There is electric car charging.You don't hear the A30 at all.

The room, area and food were great . Very dog friendly
Easy to find in the middle of the moor, plenty of space for parking, check in was easy and straight forward and staff very polite and helpful. Recommend booking dinner early as tables may be restricted due to number of staff on. We had dinner there whic was very good and staff attentive friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also excellent. The location has breathtaking views and steeped in history and stories. Room comfortable and bathroom excellent (with bath) and very clean and well presented. Gift shop and farm shop are a great addition. We would definitely come again and highly recommend this location
