Great location for walking. Lovely comfy beds with plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms. Really clean bathroom. Restaurant served great food and the breakfast was big and delicious. The staff were all lovely and Mark was a great host. Thanks everyone...

Mark and staff were super friendly. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Nice friendly and relaxing stay after a good days walk around Jacobs Ladder. We woke up to a heavy snowfall and van was ark at side of property on a slight hill. Had to dig out and crawl up hill but was given boost from Mark and one of the locals who dragged us out the last few meters. Nice little adventure and can’t thank all enough for both their hospitality and kind efforts to help.

Our room was cozy and had the best view of green hills. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. Some of the best sausages and bacon slices ever - came from the farmer nearby and the butcher down the lane. Can't get any more fresh than that! Loved chatting with the owner who was clearly dedicated to making our stay comfortable and to continued improvements on the establishment. Loved learning history of the building and of the area. Our only regret: that we didn't stay longer.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Lantern Pike. The staff are friendly and the pub has a lovely back terrace with nice views. The breakfast was delicious too. We ended up driving to Hayfield for our evening plans, but it is walkable. Good location.

We stayed here last year to attend a music festival. Location was ideal so we booked again. It has now been taken over by Mark who is exceptional. The perfect host. We will definitely be booking again once we have the dates for the festival next year.
