Everything that I expected from a place I had visited several years before. Well-appointed room , very comfortable bed. Slightly odd en-suite layout , but fine. Great food - good menu for dinner and fine breakfast.
Staff were amazingly friendly, got us involved in the local pub quiz and everyone was so lovely. Great food and rooms were very comfortable. Kindly arranged to store our tandem.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. Excellent home made food, was delicious.
Stopped at the Shepherds Inn whilst cycling the C2C. Secure bike storage, cosy comfortable twin room, excellent food and a good range of well-kept beer. The landlord was brilliantly welcoming and helpful, getting us in and settled fast, bikes stowed away, and then seeing us on our way early the following day. You'll struggle to find a better pub for overnighting anywhere.
