Friendly, Cody, great food and beer, excellent location and full of atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location (lovely sleepy village but also only 10 minutes from Cadwell Park), friendly staff, great fry up. While the twin room was small (as stated in the description, so not a surprise) the beds were comfortable and there was a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. Overall good value for money for the price.

The village pub is an amazing 500 years old, with beams the lot. Room was lovely, clean, warm, and fronted the quiet street, with views to grass fields, and the edge of the wolds. Food was good pub food, and excellent breakfast included in the price. A great and friendly stay.

This pub is over 500 years old, the atmosphere is indescribable, I felt like I was in the frame of the movie, wooden beams experienced by time that saw so many wonderful moments, the smell of the fireplace and soft light soothing my soul, the roosters woke me up in the morning which only reminded me me my childhood. A real Pole in a real English pub.

Perfect staff and locals and the place is full of history and character. Every so welcoming experience all round.
