Located across from Painter's Crossing, close to shopping and not far from the highways. Hotel is old, there's no getting around it. The parking lot is flat out dangerous because of pot holes and half-finished resurfacing if you have a car that is low to the ground. Our room was dark, the pull out couch was uncomfortable, there was drawing on the walls. Flooring and part of the wall was ripped up along one side of the hallway where our room was. The staff that was there was very friendly, but there are so few of them that you have to run around and get what you need from them. We had a fire alarm go off at 5am, and thank God my child was sleeping in the area closer to the door, or otherwise the rest of us wouldn't have woken up. We rushed down to head out because we could smell the burning when we opened the door, only to be told it was a false alarm (again, we could smell burning) and sent back to our rooms with a shrug while my young child panicked. We assume it was a kitchen fire that was put out quickly, but the halls and our rooms smelled like smoke for the rest of the day/night. Free breakfast is a nice perk, but the selection was eggs, sausage, or do it yourself waffle, or packaged food. By 8am there wasn't much left. I understand not wanting to waste food by making too much, but it was still disappointing. Basically, the location was very convenient for us, the price was very reasonable, and there were no creepy crawlies. That's where the positives end. I'm generally someone who only cares that it is clean in a case like this, but I won't be returning.
