I understand this property is under renovations. However, the services and hospitality were southern hospitality at its best. The lobby, resturant, bar and the Starbucks also located in the lobby area had a very updated and open concept but maintained a very comfortable feel. We checked in late so we ate a late dinner in the dinning room. (Yes, the resturant was still serving at 9pm) wonderful menue and excellent quality. The breakfast was also very good. (I included breakfast with the reservation) Now of the most important things... even though the room was a little dated it was spacious, very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable!!! We slept like we were at home! Bonus points: 1) beautiful setting and convenient location in Raleigh! 2) free and incredibly helpful shuttle to the Duke Hospital, Raleigh Campus!!!!! We will stay here again!!!

The staff is excellent, very attentive, and responsive.

Huge lobby, divided into conversational spaces. Bar restaurant food was excellent, as were servers.

Older building, rooms well kept, hallways showing age. Pool was excellent.

The staff was very friendly and willing to help with whatever is needed.
