Beautiful out of the bustle of the hustle and bustle of the main part of town. Very clean and comfortable. Afternoon wine and cheese was so enjoyable and views of the ocean very pretty. Town was a very comfortable walk.
Courtyard was great to meet with family. Picnic basket breakfasts were wonderful.
Pam met us at check-in and was warm and informative. Horizon is beautifully situated away from the hurly-burly of downtown Carmel while only a few minutes away on foot. We enjoyed the happy hour of local wines and cheeses, the roominess of our room, the gas fireplace, and available parking. There was also a small hot tub for a good soak.
The bedding was elegant. We had a hard time, though, adjusting to the pillows--either too big or too small and soft.
We thought the window was locked in place but later figured out that it was merely stuck (Room 112).
We liked the overhead fan, multiple mirrors, great shower. The robes were stylish but polyester and too warm.
Overall, highly recommended.
Loved the grounds the ambiance of outdoor area, staff very friendly. The breakfast delivery in basket is a great thing.
