The hotel was good. The room was clean, bed comfy, coffee machine in lobby avail any time. Staff friendly. Great access to bus.

The location of the property is a little weird surrounded by the urban living of people a.k.a. the homeless

Clean & comfortable. I arrived very late due to flight delays but the hotel is staffed 24hrs. The room was basic, yet comfortable. The shower was amazing, great pressure that I really needed after a long day of travel. Good wifi, coffee available at reception & free breakfast. While I'm not a huge fan of donuts, when in the US just do it. They also held my bags all day while I saw the sights & I was able to relax in the downstairs lounge until it was time to head to the airport. While I've heard a lot of negative reviews about the Tenderloin, I felt perfectly safe. I walked to the station to take the train to the airport & had no issues. I wouldn't do this at night but that's the same anywhere in the world!

We could do early check in even without paying for it bc our room was ready already.

Handy location for opera, symphony, jazz, museums in Civic Center. Inner room very quiet, temperature control good, continental breakfast great. Staff understands people are nervous about the neighborhood and works to help travelers with safety.
