This place has had some recent investment, and it's nice to see. Would gladly stay again. It's not a new and modern hotel, but a piece of Colorado history. So glad it didn't fall into disrepair. Enjoy the personality of this place, it's a unique spot.
The property was extremely clean and close to Monarch Mountain. I like the simplicity of the room. It was very nice to be able to go eat dinner and breakfast at location. Carl did a fantastic job with the pizza and then in the morning our omelette we are very satisfied. The food was fresh.
The setting was beautiful, food was great and there was space behind the lodge to walk, roam beside the mountain stream or just relax.
Beautiful setting, colors were outstanding. Pretty views off balcony.
Housekeeping showed me where ice was, only one floor had ice. Cook was very friendly and checked on me several times ( no waitress).
The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean. The water pressure was excellent while showering, and the water remained hot,
